Seegrid Corporation, a specialist in autonomous mobile robots for material handling, has announced the addition of a Robots as a Service (RaaS) subscription model.
The additional purchasing model provides customers with more alternatives to facilitate access to the Seegrid Palion AMR fleet and enterprise software solutions. In addition to the new subscription model, the company will continue to offer its customers options to purchase equipment outright, as well as various leasing models. Seegrid material handling experts will also help its manufacturing, e-commerce, and logistics RaaS customers understand and define automation applications to ensure seamless implementation, integration and adoption of Seegrid automation solutions into current operations.
"New use cases for mobile automation applications continue to emerge, and our customers are seeking to rapidly expand and evolve with Seegrid as their automation partner,” stated Jim Rock, CEO of Seegrid. “The addition of the RaaS model underscores our commitment to delivering industry-leading material handling solutions in the manner that best aligns with our customers’ business needs.”
The new RaaS model offers customers a low cost of upfront investment, as well as provides an opportunity to subscribe for access to a complete and interoperable autonomous mobile robotic fleet. Powered by proprietary algorithms, which fuse Seegrid’s proven computer vision system with real-time sensor data, Seegrid Palion AMRs have been performing and reporting on tasks for more than 5 million autonomous miles in dynamic customer environments.
